Happening at the Shop: April 2026

we're welcoming Spring and Summer with a banging lineup of events and popups! and we're introducing our first workshop collaborations with amazingly talented local artists for the week of spring break - register below now, seats are limited!

Tuesday April 7th

Jewelry making workshop with Annie Claire Designs: come make your own bracelet and learn the basics of jewelry making with jewelry designer, Annie Claire Bass! Ideal for ages 6-12 with 2 sessions available. Registration required.

Friday April 10th

Art Workshops with Shannon and Joy: we're kicking of a new series of art workshops with speech and language therapists, Shannon Farho and Joy Pennington! Two sessions are available by age:

• Young artists will explore the book "Snail Trail: In Search of a Modern Masterpiece" by Jo Saxton. They will each create a slug out of premium air-dry clay and design three different shells for their snail. 
• Butter My Bread, ages 6-10, 1-3pm. Young artists will participate in an herb butter tasting with delicious sourdough bread. They will make their own butter to take home and share with family. They will also create a butter bowl and spoon from stoneware clay. Their pieces will be fired in kiln, and the artists will return to The Modern Munchkin Co. to glaze their pieces.

Pete & Murray Go For a Swim book reading and signing: join us with author, Gwen Cotton, as she reads her book about swimming safely, just in time for our warm summer days
